Our Vision
To create a world where everyone has a good quality of life and the opportunity to thrive, free from the hardships of poverty.
-
Communities will be healthy, sustainable, and inclusive, and provide equitable access to services, social connection/support, and educational and economic opportunities.
-
People will be empowered and engaged, have the tools and resources they need to achieve fulfilling lives, and have hope for a bright future for themselves, their families, and their communities.
-
The quality of life and well-being of the individuals we serve are permanently improved as a result of resolving their crises, meeting their basic needs, and having economic opportunities for livable wage employment to enable them to achieve financial security and fulfill their potential.
-
Structural and institutional inequities in wealth and opportunities are no longer barriers to individuals and groups to achieve their goals and improve their lives.
-
People are more empowered to impact conditions affecting their lives, connected to support networks, and engaged in their communities and the public policy decisions that affect them.
-
Everyone is treated equally, with respect and dignity, and enabled to have as much choice as possible over the options available to them.
-
There are adequate resources that support people to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
-
There is an enhanced sense of security, hope, trust, and belonging among individuals and their communities.
-
Families have more consistent, positive, and supportive relationships, and children have greater opportunities to develop through love, support, and social connection.
-
All SEVCA clients experience a ‘No Wrong Door’ approach to being served regardless of where they enter our system and come away with a clear understanding of their needs, available assistance, viable options, and assurance of follow-up and coordination of their services.
SEVCA is dedicated to realizing this vision for a brighter future, not just for individuals and families but for entire communities.
Join us in our mission to make a positive impact on lives and foster positive change.
