Farm to Family Coupons
Farm to Family coupons help qualifying households access fresh fruits and vegetables at participating farmers' markets this summer.
SEVCA’s offices in Brattleboro, Westminster, Springfield, and White River Junction each hold a limited supply of coupons from late June onwards. To qualify for a booklet, a household must be at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (the same criteria as 3SquaresVT and Fuel Assistance). Booklets are limited to one per household and supplies are usually exhausted by August so contact your local SEVCA office now to take advantage.
Once obtained, a booklet can be used all at once or one coupon at a time until the end of October. Booklets have a value of either $46 for seniors or $30 for all other households. To maximize your benefit, shoppers can also use the Crop Cash program, which turns $10 of 3Squares benefit into $20 of coupons to spend at the market.
Households who are seniors or disabled and cannot get to an office or a market can still participate by using the proxy process. This allows a qualifying household to designate someone to pick up their coupons and even spend them at a market. For more information on how to access the program give us a call!
