Planning Staff member
Full time, hourly, temporary, $18-30 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Objectives and Job Summary:
The primary responsibilities of this position will be to administer the projects of the planning, development, and communications department especially prioritizing those activities related to the coordination, administration, and support of the Community Health Equity Partnership program in Springfield. The position is available at the level of Administrator, Coordinator, or Specialist.
If qualified, at the Planning Specialist level, the Specialist will
Work in coordination with the VtPHA and VtPHI, SEVCA’s Health Equity Network Development Specialist (HENDS) to build infrastructure and a public health presence in the designated region that promotes the health and wellbeing of all Vermonters and helps to achieve grant goals. Under supervision of the DPD, the HENDS will be responsible for guiding vision and strategy, advancing policy, mobilizing resources, building community engagement, supporting aligned activities, and establishing shared measurement practices.
Working Conditions:
1. Requires dedicated blocks of time to work on implementation of tools, coordination and/or facilitation of quarterly zoom partner meetings, and completion of meetings, assignments, and reports on time.
2. Regular and frequent communication will primarily take place through email, phone and Zoom/remote meetings.
Qualifications:
This position is offered at any of the three identified levels of experience, Administrator, Coordinator, or Specialist.
Administrator will have
• Demonstrated experience in project administration
• 1-2 years of experience receiving and reconciling invoices
• 1-2 years of experience supporting program reporting and communicating with project stakeholders.
• Demonstrated technology skills including Microsoft Office 365 products and Google Suite
• Good organizational and communication skills
Coordinator will have above skills as well as
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Community Development/Engagement, Planning, etc.
• Proven experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
• Experience in project management
• Solid organizational skills
• Experience working with or supporting a project or agency that serves a diverse set of stakeholders including residents
• Prior experience collecting and reporting using data collection metrics/systems
Specialist will have
• a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, Community Development, Community Engagement, and/or Public Health; or a combination of education and experience in those areas; HEN Coordinator will have an Associate’s degree in Administration and proven 4 years of experience of project and contract management and experience supporting community engagement efforts
• Prior professional or personal experience with collective impact initiatives
• Community outreach and engagement, intervention and community strategy development, cultural competency demonstrated through prior personal, academic, or professional experience

Reception -Admin Assistant
Full time M-F. Duties include: directing incoming calls, clients & visitors; processing mail; ordering / maintaining office supplies; misc. clerical functions. Requires: Skills in customer service, multi-line telephone or switchboard experience, familiar with use of basic office machines such as computer, multifunction copier, postage meter. Secretarial skills including typing, data entry, and computer skills incl. proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. HS diploma / GED, related experience, reliable transportation. Full-time (40 hrs / week), in office. All applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Accountant
Performs I oversees finance, accounting, and reporting activities, including: GL management, account reconciliation, cash I revenue receipt processing, depreciation, accruals, accounts receivable, adjusting journal entries, monthly closings, post-award grant accounting & compliance, accurate & timely submission of financial reports, and orderly closure of projects I grants. Assists Finance Director & Dep't Mgrs with creating & monitoring budgets. Provides financial data through research and analysis and keeps everyone informed of new grants and requirements. Prepares for annual external audit, and state and federal grant reviews and audits. Payroll, HR experience a plus.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and minimum of 3 years' related experience, including some in nonprofit fund accounting with multiple grant & revenue sources.
2. Experience with accounting software, preferably AccuFund or similar fund accounting package, payroll applications, Excel and Word.
3. Strong background working in nonprofit finance office environment and with grant accounting I management preferred.
4. Excellent computer proficiency, especially extensive and advanced experience in the use of accounting and spreadsheet software, and solid word processing skills. Experience with AccuFund or similar app.
5. Demonstrated ability and skills to work effectively with non-finance Dep't Managers and Program Directors I Coordinators to develop and manage budgets, produce and analyze reports, and generally establish and maintain positive, productive relationships between them and the Finance Office
